Overview
The BIOS03 is a powerful long-range IR thermal camera scanner with AI based facial detection technology that is designed to track and screen multiple people very quickly. The device uses infrared radiation technology to measure body temperature and generate alerts when the temperature is at an elevated level. The BIOS03 is based on Infiray's FS256Pro automatic double-light screening system that can conduct non-stop batch capture of infrared temperature and visual image in densely-populated places.
The BIOS03 adopts advanced AI face recognition technology and reliable infrared temperature measurement algorithm, and acquires the temperature through non-contact form at a distance of 4 meters (12-15 feet) at most. Once it finds over-temperature targets, it will alarm automatically and store the photo.
The unit is deployed on a tripod and connected to a large display monitor for viewing images in real-time. The data analysis software supplied with the product allows you to perform more sophisticated analysis on the images by selecting the candidates and getting more focused measurements.
While the device can scan up to 30 people simultaneously with an accuracy of +-0.5C over a distance of 15 feet, for best results it is recommended to be used to scan one person at a time as they are walking by in accordance with FDA guidelines for proper use of such equipment for temperature measurement.
The unit is designed for public places where large groups of users enter a facility such as schools, airports, hospitals, office entry ways, restaurants, malls, grocery stores, schools and office buildings. With multiple people scanned simultaneously, you can scan up to 10 people a second.
Key Features
Long range facial recognition based body temperature scanning
The unit is calibrated to measure body/skin temperature at a distance of 10-15 feet. The IR thermal body temperature scanner measures multiple data points to get a more accurate temperature reading preventing false negatives.
A key feature is that the thermal camera uses AI to locate and detect their faces and take temperature measurements from the facial area that provides a more accurate temperature reading.
Fast screening & alerting
The unit is designed to track up to 30 multiple people and take simultaneous measurements. However in practice during deployment, it is recommended to screen 5-6 people at a time. The device detects and sounds an alarm within a second enabling fast and efficient screening for elevated temperature levels.
More accurate temperature measurements must be conducted as a follow up to truly ascertain that the person has fever by using medical FDA approved thermometers.
