The BIOS02 portable handheld infrared thermal body thermal camera that has been specially calibrated for measuring body temperature. The unit supports a built-in battery that allows it to be operated both outdoors as well as indoors. The unit can be operated as handheld or mounted on a tripod to monitor/scan a person for high body temperature. The device can be quickly deployed in areas where it is not possible to connect to power outlets. The unit can take temperature scans of people at 3 feet distance with an accuracy of +-5C (.9F) as they walk past the unit. The unit generates alerts whenever it detects elevated body temperatures.

Elevated body temperature as detected by this device must be confirmed with a secondary NCIT or FDA approved clinical grade contact thermometer.
